The three essential tools of measurement include:


1. Measuring spoons – Includes tea-spoon, table-spoon

2. Dry measuring cups – They are usually made of glass, stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic and have even rims.

3. Liquid measuring cups – These cups have a pour spout and handle, which help add liquid ingredients like milk, water, and oil.



Measuring Tips:


• Do not measure over a mixing bowl
• A pinch is smaller than a dash (1/16 tsp)
• Measuring by weight rather than volume is much more accurate.


👉 Tools for Stirring, Dipping and Turning: These include spoons, ladles, turners; spatulas, and tongs.

👉 Tools for Blending: A mixer is an important labor-saving electrically operated piece of equipment for multipurpose use.
